Job Posting Guidelines

Purpose
The Texas NENA Employment page is provided as a service to Texas public safety agencies that would like to post job openings for their agency. Acceptable postings include any 9-1-1 related job from a governmental entity (COG, district, HRC, PSAP, city, county, etc.) For profit vendors/organizations do not fit this criteria.

Since job postings may be limited in duration or open-ended (long-term), the Employment section of this website lists short and long-term postings separately to more easily identify time sensitive openings.

Short-Term Postings
Postings that are open for a limited time will be placed on the "Short-Term Postings" page and will be removed the first business day after the closing of the posting.

Long-Term Postings
Postings that are open-ended (perpetual) will be placed on the "Long-Term Postings" page until the January following its original posting date. This will provide a means to purge job listings which may no longer be valid. It is the responsibility of the posting agency to provide email correspondence to Texas NENA during the month of January indicating that the posting is still accurate and open. If no correspondence is received from the posting agency by the end of January, the posting will be removed. These aforementioned confirmation and new posting requests, should be directed to the website administrator.
